Majority of Americans don't watch any news or have any interest in politics. People have many things to do there. Entertainment has no limit there. People are self obsessed and individualistic. This means Americans don't vote because of the peer pressure. Americans have a very short attention span to remember anything long term. At the moment, if you are American and if you speak anything for Trump then you are more likely to get beaten up by random people and groups. Your neighbours might be rude to you. You could get attacked by your distant neighbours who otherwise never talked to you before. Peer pressure most exist in college where leftist ideology and mindset are well spreaded. If you are not left then you are going to termed as conservative and idiot, racist etc.
