THE PROCRASTINATOR
The things he can do today,
takes him another two days.
He says to himself; "I'll do it tomorrow"
and even that turns into the overmorrow.

He has a deadline to meet,
but avoids the work, rather than get down to it.
He lies supine and dreams of everything in his head,
And does next to nothing with his hands.

He's always chanting sorry's and baseless excuses
and procuring solutions too late for uses.
Then he cries at how fast time fleeted,
And says; "surely! I've been cheated".

He thought he was his time's chief,
Having forgotten time is a seasoned thief.
For what is time if not a fleeting bird,
Even if it's the one who lays forever's bed.

.CHILD DREAM DAY.
This one is for all the children who had to grow up too fast,
for those who weren't babied at all and those who were;
but only for as long as they still wore diapers.

This is for those who've never seen the four walls of a classroom,
but hawk in the streets all day in the scorching sun,
only to return at night weary, to rest their head in a roofless room.

This is for those who were abused and harassed; violated and annihilated,
yet were threatened with masked mouths not to spill out to any one,
and even if they grew the courage to; they'd refuse to for fear of being alienated.

This is for those who have no pillows to cry into,
but only have stones and planks of wood under
the canopy of the starry night to cuddle up to.

And this is for those who never played "police and thief" or "tic tac toe",
but are forced to walk on eggshells in their own homes,
they dare not swagger in but enter only on tip toes.

For the kids who had to grow up too fast,
we all remain kids at heart and I'm sending all my love in this piece_
a love so pure, so beautiful and; healing so vast...

If tomorrow never comes

So, what if tomorrow never comes?
Would you be stuck wallowing in misery,
Beating your chest, biting your lips
And singing words of regrets with fury?

Or would you be all smiles,
Knowing you've led a good life,
Walking with a spring in your steps,
Free from sadness and all strife.

If tomorrow never comes,
Would your words live on after you?
Would your deeds bring blessings to you?
Or would people rain curses upon you?

If tomorrow never comes,
I'd love to hear comments
About how well I had lived,
And I'd love to hear from the other side
that my frail and fickle mortal words
Had granted me a forever- immortality.
