When I sat infront of mirror
I gazed deep into my eyes
To the depths of black and brown
Where I found
white shades of light .
I looked deep into my dark skin
And found my sturdy self .
I saw my reflection
Miming at me
All those things I never heard before ;
I heard a holler of it
For brooding in dark
Paused a little and hurled me again
It asked me for a promise
To be kind to self .
It yelled at me for putting self to the dark corners
In my eyes came the tears of soft remorse
And I felt a stab of regret .
