सुलझी हुई हर गुत्थी थी बाहर,
उतना ही उलझा मेरा मन था अंदर |
कहने के लिए तो बहुत कुछ था मन में,
मगर लाख कोशिश कर बाहर निकाल न पाया मैं ||

सुनने वाले तो बहुत थे हर तरफ,
मगर समझने वालों की कमी रह जाती |
चारों ओर भिन-भिनाती हुई लोगों की भीड़ थी,
मगर भीड़ भी अकेलेपन का एहसास ना मिटा पाती||

बाहर तो हमेशा शोर था, मगर अंदर मेरे सन्नाटा

दोस्तों में तो नाम कई थे,
पर क्या उन पर ऐतबार करूं?
मन लगा था यही तय करने,
कि किसे अपने दर्द से वाक़िफ करूं ||

एक ऐसे मोड़ पर आकर रुक गया था मैं?
न आगे जाने की हिम्मत बची थी, न पीछे आने कि इच्छा |
संभाले न संभाल पा रहा था खुद को मैं,
अब खुद ही को हारते देखना था बचा ||
