Don't Live in Future: Live Your Present -> Fulfill your dreams
We often live a life, where we plan for future that we will:
- Have a stable and comfortable Job
- Earn 1+ Lac Rupees in a month
- Get married @ 30
- Have 1/2 Kids, Name them, Play with them
- Have a 3 BHK in a metro
- Travel to a new destination twice a year
- Try a new eating place every week
- Watch a new movie every weekend in PVR, eating popcorns
- Have a pet
And we keep living this life, where we think that let me postpone my dreams of a perfect life for tomorrow and slog today at something I don't love.
We keep postponing things we love, things like may be learning to play Guitar, saying someone that you we love her/him, going to a new place, starting a new business, etc, thinking that let me save for tomorrow and I will do fulfill my dreams at 40 or 45 or after that, not realizing that the only reality of life "Death" is not in our control.
"Death" is the naked truth of life, and it hits us at time when sometimes we know, and sometimes we dont, but it does hits us. Well truth is no one wants to discuss about Death, Maybe It makes us think about all we haven't accomplished or It is unsettling to think about our mortality .
It reminds me words by Steve Jobs:
“Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool that I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life.
Almost everything--all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure--these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important.
Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.
No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet, death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it, and that is how it should be, because death is very likely the single best invention of life. It's life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new"
Death is something on which no one sees how many unfulfilled dreams you have, how many memories you made, or anything. As soon as you die, within 24 hours, not beyond that -> 4 People will pick you up (according to Hindu tradition), take you to a barren land, make you naked, wrap you up in nothing but white, crack your head up and fill it up with a combustible substance (most likely ghee) , fire you up, and before you can than wonder what happened, you will turn in to ashes and nothing more.
Yes, a pot of ash weighing less than a Kg.
Between the time you have unfulfilled dreams in your heart and you turn in to ashes - there is hardly a time gap of at max 48 hours.
Hence, don't lie to you about a better and beautiful tomorrow, dont make stupid plans where your dreams are postponed to a unknown day. Live today, make each day count.
Do whatever fuck you want to do today, dont waste your life making stupid plans.
Go learn whatever you wanted to learn, Guitar, Horse riding or whatever.
Communicate whoever you loved, that you actually love them.
Watch Movie, Listen to the Songs.
Fullfill all your dreams, today.
Live in present and not planning for future, because present is the best gift you have.
