100APC#3 For Kramer

I painted this early last year for my niece, Kramer. She totally rules. We, the family, often call her, Bug, because of her love for lady bugs.
I wanted to challenge myself by drawing things that were less macabre. I have found that potential buyers are much more receptive to soft or cute things. I managed to produce this. This was a labor of love.

Unfortunately my darling niece lives several hours away from me, so I wasn't aware that her love for lady bugs had since passed. Her mother, my sister in law, loved this piece. So I gave it to her for Christmas this last year.

Kramer is one of my heroes. She is smart, beautiful, and extremely competitive. She is not afraid of hard work to achieve excellence. Her sense of kindness, humor, and honor make me proud every day.

Work hard. Work with love in your soul. The rewards will always warm you.

Thanks for reading.

❤😍😍😉 Can you distinguish the birds and their balloon counterparts?

You can’t underestimate a balloon enthusiast’s ingenuity to embark on a brilliant series of sculptures that depict birds in their natural habitat, perching in trees or on the ground.

First experimented with balloons when making a birthday gift for his niece, the Scotsman, 3D animation Terry Cook, uses various colors and types of balloons to create the birds’ real-life counterparts, from woodpeckers to blue tits.

It can be challenging to figure out how to get the right shape, but Terry always takes a couple of hours to finish a piece patiently. He also emphasizes the importance of properly disposing of the plastic.

The artist plans to continue the series, further exploring the different species of British birds, animals, and insects.

Tatooine
This was the first time I ever drew or painted Boba Fette. I went for a long time avoiding Fan Art. Mostly because I felt weird about selling stuff based on other people's ideas. Me and my 7 year old niece ended up having a brief shouting match about the subject. She totally won. She convinced me of the awesomeness of fan art when she said, "You don't have to sell it! You have to share it with the world."

She was right. My constant need to be a working artist, a PAID artist, had overshadowed my desire to share my ideas. Even it those ideas were based on the creations of others. I painted this immediately.

Ever since I saw the first Star Wars I always wanted to see a jawa with a light saber. I doubt I'll ever see it on the big screen. So here it is. A moment on Tatooine where the infamous Boba Fette teamed up with a pair of hard core, light saber wielding jawa, to collect a bounty on some poor soul.

Hope your day rules.
