How I lost 23kg's in 6 Months?
Being an MBA we think that we know it all and hence often overlook the most important aspect of one’s life that is HEALTH. ‘Health is Wealth’ very rightly said by someone but followed by very few at the B-Schools. There are many misconceptions in one’s mind about health, we often tend to think that a lean person is fit but rather health has nothing to do with sizes. It’s just a fat person can be healthy and a lean may not be. It’s the lifestyle which makes us healthy or unhealthy.
Being in a B-School people always have a time crunch and that’s the point if being in a B-School you say that you don’t have a time than what kind of manager you are. THINK!!. Manage time and you can manage anything and everything. Work as if you have 26 out of 24 hours or at least live like it so that others think of you in this way, makes you physiologically healthier.  B-schools have aa hell lot of classes, we generally don’t pay attention during classes and that in turn waste much of our time in B-School. Stay awake and attentive in your class and hence you can save the time needed to stay fit and healthy.
Some of the think which I have followed in my journey to become fit and healthy are mentioned here may be they can be of help  –
Prioritize – We often want to get fit but we always have that one important thing that stops us from going for a run or gym. Hence you will have to prioritize and once you do that successfully you will climb the first ladder to a fit and healthy life.
Patience – Just as in your career you cannot grow instantly and it takes times. Similarly, the body and a lifestyle that you have built in last 20-25 years cannot change overnight and hence be patient and you will see the result in the due course.
Start Small – One big mistake that we all tend to do is, ahh my assignment submission is over today lets go to the gym and you spend 2 hours in a gym followed by nothing. It's the biggest mistake. You should always start small i.e. taking a walk, a small run, skipping rope, skipping cheese & mayo etc. and make it persistent in your lifestyle, do it regularly and hence change your lifestyle slowly in order to have a long-term effect. I started using stairs to my room on 6th floor and is doing it since last 315 days.
Be Continuous and Persistent – Continuity is the key to success in each and every aspect of life and hence whatever you start it slow and do it regularly in order to develop a healthy lifestyle. Assignment, Conference, Conclave, and Placement etc should not be an excuse for skipping the routine.
Sleep – It is a luxury which we cannot afford in B-Schools, most of us will believe the said statement. Amid all the submissions, cases, conferences, visits etc take out some time to sleep continuously for 5 hours and that will be more than enough. We often neglect sleep and it becomes the biggest hindrance in staying fit and healthy.
Seek out healthier Alternatives – Don’t skip a party as you are on a diet, rather always seek out for healthier alternatives when you go out. Change your eating habits, don’t eat less rather regulate your diet in order to be fit.
Make it Fun – Most importantly till you to enjoy it and embrace it you cannot sustain a workout. Make small goals achieve them, reward yourself, find a workout buddy, be competitive, include the variety of workout in your schedule i.e. Running, Waling, Cycling, Gymming, Swimming, yoga, aerobic, Zumba etc.
I have followed meticulously each and everything that I have mentioned above since last 11 months and have lost around 23 kg. Always find a motivation behind a workout and you would never fail I had mine and as we say behind every successful man we have a ….. Yay, you guessed it right.

A LOOK AT LIFE-19
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Time
Never go away
In you lies my entire life
Its ups and downs
Its beauty and glamour
And all that i loved and relished
Over the years

Let me go down
The memory lane
To my early childhood
To feel the warmth of relationships
Mother's touch and father's love
Teacher's concern and sister's affection
And the carefree life
Lead in the scenic beauty of nature

Take me
To the glorious days of youth
Colourful and fascinating
To feel the nicest of relationships
I have ever had
And the drive and motivation
With which I worked

Time
Just hang on a bit
For i die to see once more
That beauty under the veil
And feel those most fulfilling moments
That made my life sheer poetry
On earth

The Moment
Stay a while
I am to see life once again
Give me a bit of you
I know the next is not mine

Thank you very much, sir, for your wonderful words of appreciation Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life -4"is a poem that looks at life from various strands, angles and dimensions. As we go through different phases of life, we come across different circumstances and situations which teach us about various aspects of life one way or other. Whatever, it is, life should be cherished to the hilt because when it is gone, it is the endgame, so whatever good things that we can do in this life, we have to do with atmost earnestness and consideration. From childhood to old age, life teaches us many things, in early childhood we are tinged with innocence, then in the adolescent period,we are prone to the nitty grittes of life culminating in antics of various hues and colours, in the middle age,we function as people of obligations and responsibilities and finally in the old age, we wait for the chariot of death to arrive with a sense of resignation. In fact from birth to death, life is a constant struggle and a pillar to post running but we need to enjoy life imbibing its essence and real spirit, otherwise, we shall regret about it at the end. Life
At its various stations
Offers something
Which is just unique and different
Not to be found anywhere else

Life with all its splendours
To be lived and relished
For once you miss something
Will never come back again

From early childhood

From naughty looks of a child
To the full bloom of youth
From the agony of mid fifty
To the apathy of late eighty
Life has its own moments

From cradle to the grave
Life is a feast
Never allow duty tension and anxiety
To take the juice out of it

You will make a total mess of it

"Here is the critical appreciation of my poem 'A LOOK AT LIFE-42' by Prof Cijo Joseph Chennelil, eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic in his own words. Thanks and gratitude sir for your wonderful analysis of the poem in beautiful words Dear Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life-42" is a poem that brings into the forefront the salient features concerning life that we all need to practice in our day to day life. This life is to be a life that must be offered to others in selfless manner and services. We need to live our lives without expecting any reward from any quarters,we need to shed our desires so that we can be kept away from unhappiness all throughout our lives. If we engage in sharing than receiving in our lives, that can do us a world of good,we are subtly unhappy because we are more interested in receiving than giving freely to our fellow human beings. The funny thing about us human beings is that we are unhappy when we come to know about the happiness of our fellow human beings, this is the most selfish attitude of us human beings. We human beings all throughout our lives think about others,in fact we are so obsessed with what others do,as a result of which we often loose our peace of mind,we humans also have this imitation culture wherein we are so much interested in following others footsteps than having self-confidence attitude regarding our own personalities, talents, abilities and potentialities. If we are not happy about the successes of others,we can't be happy at all at any rate,we should have an open mindset to accept others joy and their successes in life, then only life will be a worthwhile thing indeed. To make matters worse,we live all throughout our lives with an attitude of jealous nature which can be very toxic and poisonous to ourselves in the long run.Let us all drive away our self-centred attitude and then come into the realm of love stock, block and barrel and every step of the way to lead a happy and contented life.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificent nature. A LOOK AT LIFE-42
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

The beauty of life
he knows who lives it for others
the feel of charity he feels who
shares his food with another
and remains hungry as such
the pleasure of giving he relishes
who gives without a condition
expecting nothing in reciprocation

The less you live for yourself
and more for others
the more you live for yourself
your little drops of love, affection
sacrifice and concern go a long way
and fetch you the ocean in return

You are not unhappy as such
you are not happy because you think
others are more happy and that
happiness of others is what disturbs you
makes you unhappy

Most of the life
you live thinking about others
their affluence and achievement
and others are always in your
focus and agenda
you are so obsessed and preoccupied with others, hardly any time left
for your own development
you compare yourself with others and feel sad
and carry that sadness with you
and distribute it among others
and make them sad
you are more concerned with
what you do not have and forget the fact that God has endowed you enough to make you happy and contented
you are not happy as you are
you want to be somebody else

You can not be happy
unless you enjoy others happiness
and fee their pangs of sorrow
you will remain with an agitated mind
and a pair of jealous eyes
till the very end

You live the whole of our life
nurturing jealousy and hatred
which gives you nothing expect
lots of heart burning
pain and mental agony
you are to think and reassess
for still some time is left
still you have it in you
to make a rich harvest and live
the rest of life with lots of common sense

Live life to the full
let love be your only language
and religion, the whole world your family
be with others in their moments
of happiness and sorrow
the whole world will be yours
you will have that satisfaction, peace
and tranquility of mind
till now eluding your grasp
a yogi's dream
which a man committed to
naked self interest

"Here is the critical appreciation of my poem 'A LOOK AT LIFE-42' by Prof Cijo Joseph Chennelil, eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic in his own words. Thanks and gratitude sir for your wonderful analysis of the poem in beautiful words Dear Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life-42" is a poem that brings into the forefront the salient features concerning life that we all need to practice in our day to day life. This life is to be a life that must be offered to others in selfless manner and services. We need to live our lives without expecting any reward from any quarters,we need to shed our desires so that we can be kept away from unhappiness all throughout our lives. If we engage in sharing than receiving in our lives, that can do us a world of good,we are subtly unhappy because we are more interested in receiving than giving freely to our fellow human beings. The funny thing about us human beings is that we are unhappy when we come to know about the happiness of our fellow human beings, this is the most selfish attitude of us human beings. We human beings all throughout our lives think about others,in fact we are so obsessed with what others do,as a result of which we often loose our peace of mind,we humans also have this imitation culture wherein we are so much interested in following others footsteps than having self-confidence attitude regarding our own personalities, talents, abilities and potentialities. If we are not happy about the successes of others,we can't be happy at all at any rate,we should have an open mindset to accept others joy and their successes in life, then only life will be a worthwhile thing indeed. To make matters worse,we live all throughout our lives with an attitude of jealous nature which can be very toxic and poisonous to ourselves in the long run.Let us all drive away our self-centred attitude and then come into the realm of love stock, block and barrel and every step of the way to lead a happy and contented life.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificent nature. A LOOK AT LIFE-42
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

The beauty of life
he knows who lives it for others
the feel of charity he feels who
shares his food with another
and remains hungry as such
the pleasure of giving he relishes
who gives without a condition
expecting nothing in reciprocation

The less you live for yourself
and more for others
the more you live for yourself
your little drops of love, affection
sacrifice and concern go a long way
and fetch you the ocean in return

You are not unhappy as such
you are not happy because you think
others are more happy and that
happiness of others is what disturbs you
makes you unhappy

Most of the life
you live thinking about others
their affluence and achievement
and others are always in your
focus and agenda
you are so obsessed and preoccupied with others, hardly any time left
for your own development
you compare yourself with others and feel sad
and carry that sadness with you
and distribute it among others
and make them sad
you are more concerned with
what you do not have and forget the fact that God has endowed you enough to make you happy and contented
you are not happy as you are
you want to be somebody else

You can not be happy
unless you enjoy others happiness
and fee their pangs of sorrow
you will remain with an agitated mind
and a pair of jealous eyes
till the very end

You live the whole of our life
nurturing jealousy and hatred
which gives you nothing expect
lots of heart burning
pain and mental agony
you are to think and reassess
for still some time is left
still you have it in you
to make a rich harvest and live
the rest of life with lots of common sense

Live life to the full
let love be your only language
and religion, the whole world your family
be with others in their moments
of happiness and sorrow
the whole world will be yours
you will have that satisfaction, peace
and tranquility of mind
till now eluding your grasp
a yogi's dream
which a man committed to
naked self interest
