'Paper' sounds nothing. But what if it bears the print of 50 rupees. Still it may be nothing for some. For some others, it is perhaps everything, a media to get food or reach home. Something happened today while travelling by bus which made me think a little. A girl, of about 15 years, got a seat after standing around 20 minutes. Conductor came to collect the ticket. The girl handed over a 50 rupee note to the conductor. It was returned to her showing the torn part and joined with a transparent tape. "Conductor of the other bus gave it to me" said the girl in a smooth voice. "Cannot you see while receiving." the rude voice of the conductor I heard. "But I have a change of 10 rupee note only and I have to pay 40 rupees." "It is not my fault. Get down immediately" a more harsh voice it was. Till then the eyes of the girl was full with tears. Thank to the gentle man sitting beside her who handed over 40 rupees before further any argument starts. Here perhaps 50 rupees values a lot for both the girl and the man who has mastered in surgery of the note. But how much right it is in mastering doing this type of surgery!! A 50 rupee story....
