Matters about funeral not approved by Sunnah 1.To spread flowers or make any other decoration on the funeral. 2. To cover the dead body with embroidered sheet. 3. To write Kalma Shahada or any Qur'anic verse over the funeral. 4. To arrange for alms and charity at the time of lifting the funeral cot from the home. 5. To circumambulate the tomb of a saint with the funeral. 6. To believe that the funeral of a pious man is light and of a sinful man is heavy. 7. To recite two and a half chapter of the Holy Quran before lifting the funeral cot. #Funeral

*If forty pious people, believing in one Allah offer the funeral prayer of a pious man believing in one Allah,he is forgiven by Allah. Abdullah Bin Abbas (R.A) reports, the Messenger of Allah said,"When a Muslim dies and his funeral prayer is attended by forty such people as do not make any one partner to Allah,their recommendation(supplication) in his favour is accepted."(Muslim) Funeral

Ayesha (R.A) reports,"The Messenger of Allah returned from Al Baqee and looked for me.At that time I had severe headache and I was crying,"Oh My head is going to burst."The Messenger of Allah said,"Nay, rather my head o Ayesha !If you die before me,I shall perform all the things for you myself.I will bathe you,I will clothe you the shroud,I will offer your funeral prayer,and I will put you in the grave myself.(Ahmad and Ibn e Majah) Abdullah Bin Abu Bakr(R.A) reports,that the wife of Abu Bakr,Asma bint Umais(R.A) bathed Abu Bakr(R.A) after his death and asked the emigrants present there,"It is intense cold today.Is it obligatory on me to take bath?"The people said,"No it's not obligatory."(Malik Fi l muatta). #Funeral bath
