SOMETHING I LOOK AT-52
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

The more free we are, the more
we are to restrain ourselves and see
that our freedom does not infringe upon
the right of others to enjoy the same

Freedom is an atmosphere that gives one the opportunity to become oneself
freedom is a will, an ardent desire
to see others at par

Freedom is the foundation upon which
the superstructure of democracy is built
freedom is that basic right which gives
meaning and substance to all other rights
fundamental to the development of man

freedom is a right, the corresponding duty
of which is to create that environment
where each can live with equal dignity

freedom is a state of mind where
the spirit of tolerance and compromise imbibe where there is no fear, hatred and jealousy, pride and prejudice, sectarian and parochial loyalties and it equips one to make a value-free empirical analysis and
see and interpret a situation as it is

Freedom is not a license to do
anything one likes is always subject

"Here is the critical appreciation of my poem"SOMETHING I LOOK AT-48" by non-other than the eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic Prof Cijo Joseph Channel. Thanks and gratitude sir for your words of appreciation Dear Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"Something I Look at -48" is a poem that exhorts human beings to shun physical violence for the pursuance of principles such as peace and love. The wars of the past didn't fetch anything to humanity except destruction and chaos in a big way. The forces adrift to the interests of human beings had ultimate victories in all these wars. Instead of indulging in physical violence, we need to wage wars against all vices besetting this universe. There are many ideologies of highly objectionable nature existing in the universe, we need to wage wars against such ideologies of nasty pedigrees. We need to work earnestly for a world which promotes human values in letter and spirit. Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificent nature. "Here is the critical appreciation of my poem"A LOOK AT LIFE-21" by non-other than the eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic Prof Cijo Joseph Channel. Thanks and gratitude sir for your brilliant words of appreciation Dear Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life-21" is a great exposition regarding the manifold interpretations of what it is meant to be independent. Independence is an internal mindset if we are free internally, everything comes around bit by bit and piece by piece. It is to be a way of life. To be in an independent state of affairs would mean love towards one another and respect for the dignities of others. Freedom does mean that we need to give importance to the freedom of others, it also does mean adherence to justice,fair-play and equality. Freedom is a positive attitude which generates positive vibes in the society. Freedom is all about a mentality to share and care for each other. Lack of fear is the first sign of freedom. Real freedom transcends above boundaries, borders, barriers, barricades, controls and bridles. Freedom is a concept that enlightens and encourages one and all. Freedom is all about the ability to absorb the manifold aspects of life without fear and favour and also without any bias or discrimination. When freedom attains these above-mentioned characteristics, then it becomes really a heaven of freedom indeed envisaged by the great poet of India, Tagore.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of exquisite nature. Independence is a state of mind
A way of life
To be internalised and nourished
To make one independent
Of pride and prejudice
Hatred and jealousy
Violence and fanaticism
And all those negative emotions
That makes one badly respond
To whims and irrationality

It is beautifully reflected
In what you think
In what you do
How you approach life
And look at others
With whom you interact
With whom you do not

It is an atmosphere
That offers you the best
To be your own sell
An opportunity to flower and flourish
And make your dream a reality

It is not a licence
To do anything
You feel like
Is always subject to decency and morality
And others right to enjoy

"Here is the critical appreciation of my poem "A LOOK AT LIFE 42" by none other than the eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic Prof Cijo Joseph Channel. Thanks and gratitude sir for your brilliant appreciation of the poem in beautiful words Dear Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life-42" is a poem of deep-rooted philosophical and theological renditions regarding human beings and their existence in general. The wholesome reality that we all do often miss regarding this universe is that it is a holistic and comprehensive entity altogether, there can't be two opinions regarding that. There is a rare unity in diversities prevailing in this world, that unity adds sustainability and longevity to this world. Although we are all part of that universal truth and do belong to it one way or other, the fact of the matter is that we divide this world into thousand divisions one way or the other conveniently forgetting about the essentiality of the oneness of this universe. Although heterogeneities, pluralities and differences separate us, there is an underlying unity in all these divergences all the way. The evolution we have gone through has come from that central processing truth. The tiniest particles to mega structures here on earth do have a linkage towards that ultimate truth, the God Almighty, in fact, whatever we see here is a manifestation and embodiment of the God Almighty in action. We are part and parcel of that bigger truth, the moment we realise this discerning truth, we are redeemed to the core.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of spiritually multidimensional one. Reality cannot be many
there is only one soul
that inhabits many bodies and
the whole of the cosmic universe

Victims of illusion and duality we are
fail to conceive the reality, our essential oneness and see us as distinct and different

One has become many and many will become
one, the expansion and contraction of the cosmic soul, and the process of involution and evolution is the only reality

God in His creations
and His creations in Him
is the truth, eternal

#here is the critical appreciation of my poem "A LOOK AT LIFE 42" by none other than the eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic Prof Cijo Joseph Channel. Thanks and gratitude sir for your brilliant appreciation of the poem in beautiful words

Dear Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life-42" is a poem of deep-rooted philosophical and theological renditions regarding human beings and their existence in general.

A LOOK AT LIFE-42
BY- SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Reality cannot be many
there is only one soul
that inhabits many bodies and
the whole of the cosmic universe

Victims of illusion and duality we are
fail to conceive the reality, our essential oneness and see us as distinct and different

One has become many and many will become
one, the expansion and contraction of the cosmic soul, and the process of involution and evolution is the only reality

God in His creations
and His creations in Him
is the truth, eternal
wherever you go, whatever you see and
whatever lies beyond your vision and
perception is nothing but the cosmic soul manifested in different forms
ocean in a drop of water and
a drop of water in the ocean
all the same

we are to restrain ourselves and see
that our freedom does not infringe upon
the right of others to enjoy the same

Freedom is an atmosphere that gives one the opportunity to become oneself
freedom is a will, an ardent desire
to see others at par

Freedom is the foundation upon which

freedom is that basic right which gives
meaning and substance to all other rights
fundamental to the development of man

freedom is a right, the corresponding duty
of which is to create that environment

freedom is a state of mind where
the spirit of tolerance and compromise imbibe where there is no fear, hatred and jealousy, pride and prejudice, sectarian and parochial loyalties and it equips one to make a value-free empirical analysis and

Independence is a state of mind
A way of life
To be internalised and nourished
To make one independent
Of pride and prejudice
Hatred and jealousy
Violence and fanaticism
And all those negative emotions
That makes one badly respond
To whims and irrationality

It is beautifully reflected
In what you think
In what you do
How you approach life
And look at others
With whom you interact
With whom you do not

It is an atmosphere
That offers you the best
To be your own sell
An opportunity to flower and flourish
And make your dream a reality

It is not a licence

Here is the critical appreciation of my poem "A LOOK AT LIFE 42" by none other than the eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic Prof Cijo Joseph Channel. Thanks and gratitude sir for your brilliant appreciation of the poem in beautiful words

Dear Smruti Ranjaniji,

Your poem titled"A Look At Life-42" is a poem of deep-rooted philosophical and theological renditions regarding human beings and their existence in general.

A LOOK AT LIFE-42
BY- SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

Reality cannot be many
there is only one soul
that inhabits many bodies and
the whole of the cosmic universe

Victims of illusion and duality we are
fail to conceive the reality, our essential oneness and see us as distinct and different

One has become many and many will become
one, the expansion and contraction of the cosmic soul, and the process of involution and evolution is the only reality

God in His creations
and His creations in Him
is the truth, eternal
wherever you go, whatever you see and
whatever lies beyond your vision and
perception is nothing but the cosmic soul manifested in different forms
ocean in a drop of water and
a drop of water in the ocean
all the same
