The biggest lie I tell myself is when I'm almost asleep, and I get an idea for a poem, but instead of writing it down I tell myself I'll still remember it in the morning.  I crave for your attention like the moth yearns for fire, and like the fire which consumes the moth to it's doom, you attract me towards your warmth and love, only to burn my happiness and peace. You make sure that I hate your absence, and later, you ignore my presence just to prove the fact that you had been playing all along. You know your worth in my life, probably that's the reason you choose to be worthless. You know I would never leave you, and you still choose to be selfish enough to acknowledge my existence only when you want to. You love me for my attention, and blame me for being stupid. I wish you knew the pleasure of being real. Yes, I desire your attention, but not at the cost of my self respect and tears. I know it's easier said than done, but you have made me realise my fault. You made me realise how blind I was, and well, without you, I wouldn't have figured out what it takes to find true love. You know what, sometimes, I do really think of how trapped I am, trapped in a cage with it's only escape being you and your absence. And well, I did prefer to breathe free in a storm than in a graveyard full of roses. You made me realise that I don't need someone to attend to my needs every now and then. You haven't changed, but you sure did change me. You know, I will never forget the lesson you taught me. I will learn to be happy on my own, not to prove that I am over you, but to make sure that I am with myself.
