The bird flew from the nest Once it got wings Exploring the world And the excitement outside Forgetting that it has nowhere left to go, when the world hurts When it's wounded and maimed Except that same nest To heal, to be comforted To feel protected and loved In an unconditional sort of way But, does the baby bird understand Young blood doesn't stop to think Just wanting to fly higher & higher Until suddenly it realises How lonely it is at the top Needing the mild scoldings of parents To feel grounded and real #yqbaba#parentallove#nest
