you sent me a postcard; the mailman delivered it today; together with junk mail and some bills to pay; you wrote a few lines about your new place and that little dog you bought; a tiny gift, you said, for yourself; that's all you really mentioned and nothing more; none of the things, i wanted you to say; none of the usual stuff; i was looking for more, i guess; like, the way you missed me; or that you still loved me; nothing of that sort; nothing of the memories, we've shared; oh how fast you've forgotten; the many remembrances, we had; that you sent one little postcard; one measly postcard that gave me a few words; devoid of everything else; ten years of love, summarized in a piece of carboard; colored with nothing intimate and personal; devoid of me and even you. fiction. it's been a long time since i wrote anything that's purely fiction. #love #postcard #summary #remembrance #yqbaba
