The demon sneers; as he looks at the girl-- Sniveling, screaming in pain. He grins and cackles, harshly-- Wanting her, to hear, his dripping insolence. He left her, in pain, deliberately. He wanted her to abhor him, blatantly. Because, she deserved much more; Than his scant offerings. She'd have far better proposals, without him. He was, but, a demon-- An entity, cursed to eternal damnation. He loathed his fate; Yet, it'd scorch him more; To see her defiled, desecrated; By being in close proximity, to him. So, he chose to evanesce into zilch-- To have her surmise that he, merely, played her. For, wasn't that his given role, anyway? To shatter the souls of humans-- To render them quashed and defiant? He knew, that fading away, from her; Could be her sole saving grace-- Even when it meant, losing her; Even when it necessitated, Breaking his own disgusting heart; For the girl, he wasn't supposed to love-- For the one, who made him, Execrate his demoniac legacy.
