anything that produces negativity, makes one vulnerable to evil; anything that causes unbelief, doubt, and faithless grief; anything, at all, affecting the heart; producing weakness and despair; anything, really; even the loss of self-worth; kills the soul, slowly. Here in the Philippines, we celebrate Halloween and All Souls Day on Oct 31 and Nov 1, respectively. So, almost everything on television, at the moment, speaks of scary things.
