the ellipsis that ends you see those stapled pin

the ellipsis that ends

you see those stapled pins
racked out with force?
those covers left tattered,
those pages, torn?
haven't your tongue
thrown seeds on land
in a pattern or
your teeth held morsels
of leftovers?
did you never wear
torn clothes
with stitches
or shoes with
a broken lace?

in the end,
you're always
reminded that your
poems can be
longed for
but not lingered
ever after.— % & take me with you when you go~
