"I nearly had a meltdown!"

Short story below in caption. So I missed the train again! "What kind of person keeps on missing their flight and train connections?" I shouted out loud, much to the consternation of people on the platform, a few of them smiled and nodded their heads, probably thinking of me as a crazy person. I threw my bags down and nearly had a meltdown. I came to some of my senses when I saw a policeman come my way, glaring at me, deciding to move away from the tracks and into the safety of the waiting room.

I plopped down in the chair abject with despair. What was I going to do? My presentation was due tomorrow with an important client. I couldn't afford this, no way, not this time. I called Sunil,my partner and explained why I was delayed, receiving a robust dressing down from him. He was busy with the team, preparing the pitch. He told me to come by hook or crook, he didn't care.

So what else could go wrong? I thought. I looked around the room and caught a man in a red shirt staring at me. He came over and sat next to me. "What is the matter? You look worried"
"None of your business", I said giving him a suspicious look.
"I may be able to help you, where are you headed?". Throwing all caution to the winds, I told him my situation and that I could lose my job, my company if I didn't make it to the meeting in person.
"Don't worry, I have a cab, I will get you there in a jiffy, it is only a 7 hours ride from here."
