I wrote a clichéd something (on a light note) on my diary when I started writing and it goes like— Humans and animals started to exchange their roles from the day when men started to drive the cart in place of cows. Well, I guess, now we have reached the zenith of becoming an animal or maybe went beyond that. I opened my phone at around11 am and saw a WhatsApp status of my friend. It was a news article's ss stating, "A monitor lizard was gang raped by four hunters, at Sahydari Tiger Reserve. " The caption said, " These people should be burnt alive. " And I wondered if they should be called humans. With mankind. Humaneness. Should I laugh at these nouns? It was a day back, a 14 year old girl of Nadia district,West Bengal, was raped and murdered. I won't go into the political basis (although that holds importance here. Still.) But a human, moreover a woman, commented, "Maybe she had relationship with the guy, how can I know, what she had." Well this could be a statement if they went into a sexual intercourse and not be highlighted as a sexual abuse on a esteemed daily. You all must be aware about consent during a sexual relationship, right? No? Wait. No need to go to watch Pink. I will tell you. If you are agreeing and your partner is agreeing to go into a sexual intercourse, it's fine. But if either of you disagree for the same and the other forcedly do that, that's rape. Yup, now you can enjoy Pink with popcorns because nor my words neither the film will help those, who don't want to be helped. To the lizard rape case, I saw a funny caption from another friend that is maybe it was wearing short clothes, who knows. Or maybe the hunters had relationship with the lizard and the lizard is falsely alleging the case of rape against them. Hm. So, I heard another statement some months earlier which say, "Rape is normal and inevitable. Lie down and enjoy it."
