Garbage is big problem, needs urgent remedial measures. 1. Why can't we start with trainings/knowledge sharing. 2. We can have it courses for this. 3. We can also have online teaching with broadcasting on various media like Akashwani Doordarshan etc. 4. We can enact suitable laws and formulate sops for handling the garbage. Many detailed suggetion are as under;- 1. All societies should have suitable open space for garbage processing. 2. Trained persons/organisations should be entrusted this work, initially by paying whatever is being spent today, gradually this payment can be reduced and in time to come the societies will be getting handsome sum instead of huge spending today. 3. In areas of independent houses/ small societies the local body can allot nearby open space as well provide electric carts with charging arrangement at the garbage segregation area. Wet garbage if not processed in house /within the societies, will be charged on weight. Once the people are required to pay for wet garbage they will tend to either inhouse processing or with the societies. 4. Home segregation should be wet, dry and hazardous. 5.
