magic combo It had been a long day. I was not at my best today. In fact, I was not even at my 'okay-okay' today. I woke up hopeful but eventually I became hopeless— just like that. I lied on the bed, in the afternoon, and didn't sleep. Then I regretted watching countless youtube videos, you know, wolves chasing bisons in North America and stuff like that. The evening happened. I felt dumb.

Now the electricity went off for some reason. I didn't want to stare at the phone screen anymore because the eyes were kind of burning. So the idea of a workout happened naturally. Yes, 7:30 in the evening, the city engulfed by darkness, and I willing to exhaust myself. The idea was to get tired enough to sleep peacefully at night. I found myself on the terrace in no time.

I'm not used to working out in the evenings; especially on the darkest ones. So the ambience felt amazing. It was something new! And I wouldn't have to see the neighbour uncle staring at me. (Maybe he stares at me in the mornings because he finds my exercises crazy, or maybe he finds me crazy, or maybe he finds both crazy.) So yes, I was up on the terrace beginning to shine.

I did the dreadful warm up and stretches before I went into the easy looking jumping jacks. Soon I was sweating profusely doing the jumping jacks, high knee taps, mountain climbers, burpees and butt kicks in repeat. You wouldn't believe how exhausting those 27 minutes felt. Anyway, somewhere between the exercises I realised I could write a series about realisations. As soon as I realised this I also realised one more thing. I realised that I was going to meditate right after I finish the workout. And I did meditate after I finished the crazy thing.
