Can't they see, If they continue down the same vei

Can't they see,
If they continue down the same vein,
There won't be any remnants of earth to claim.
But alas!
Earth thou do not speak,
If thou spoke, 
Humanity would be silent.

There is nothing uglier than humanity,
A twisted paradox of life and reality.

I do wonder at times,
If the earth did speak,
Would it groan at the apathetic misery,
Or smile at the perseverance of the determined,
Can't they see,
