He was in a hurry in reaching his destination and in this hasty run, he lost all the water that would quench his thirst and keep him alive. The water was enough to take him to his destination. He lost all the Hope and then dehydration took all the life out of him. He remained there just as a curious pursuer of his dream. He could no longer live.
Surprisingly, just one step ahead would take him to the destination......

This story teaches two things: The value of water and another deeper meaning..

The water in the hand stands for your love for the work that you are doing that will bring life to you while you are travelling in a journey to your destination. If you don't love the thing you are doing you will not be able to reach your destination. If you do reach too, you will remain just as a cage of a soul with no life in it. In your hasty run to the destination, if you lose all your love for the work, nothing can save you, not even one's passion and dedication.
