.... Fahad

The day was out of the common. The cold breezing wind, crystal pouring from the skies, no hustle-bustle on the road which is famous for crowds and me, the narrator, walking towards the dilapidated bridge that landmarks the road, which expands to infinity. The dreaded bridge that is to have to kill millions of hopes is about to give me the time of my life.

I stayed out in the wind and cold for about an hour straight with my nervousness providing me with warmth. My eyes were busy searching for the one I came for in the mist, and my ears all straight-up to listen to the voice after 8 years. My mind was surrounded with her memories and with me lost in the moment, I heard a voice, a familiar voice, a voice that my ears had been waiting to listen to for a long time. Before I turned around, I realized the voice provided me with a sense of calm that I didn't know I ever needed before I listened to it.

With shakes running through my veins, I turned back and finally, it was her. I could see her face glowing in the dark. I was lost in its contemplation and a spark beamed in my heart. I met my old friend again. I could hear every ounce in my body glittering in the moment.
