There she stood, Dressed in a green robe, A beaut

There she stood,
Dressed in a  green robe,
A beautiful emerald necklace adorned her dainty neck,
Prosperity and bounty were her other names.
When she walked on a barren land, flowers bloomed,
She was a friend to Nature,
Protective, caring, and giving always
Every land she held was as virgin as she was, 
Unpolluted by mortal greed.
As her pristine thoughts, which bore only memories of one man, 
Her lover Orion.
Fate would have no mere mortal man and a Goddess become man and wife,
So, she chose to be his widow.
And though she was a Goddess,  her right to love couldn't be denied.
She was Kanya,
The Virgin Woman...
