Daughter is part of my soul, born out of me. I didn't hold her in my tummy but I anxiously waited for her in those 9 months. Daughter is the most valuable gift a father can receive. When the baby took those initial steps, holding the little one in my arms. Those gummy bears we got, choclate & ice creams we shared and the milk shakes n eggs I made for you. Dropping you to the school bus stop and see the bus go. Making you learn those first strokes at the swimming pool and going the deeper side of the pool just staying right behind. Sometime you would ask me to trim your hair by 2 inches & I would happily do that. And yes seeing you perform kathak on stage. Now you're bigger, at times I leave my specs on while I read, or the headphones on while I sleep as I listen to my music. You come by, say goodnight, remove my glasses & headphone. You always been my bundle of virtues of love, of smile, my strength. You would always remain my sweety baby, shining star and my doll. May you always be divinely protected and guided, take a path of your own. Blaze the trail, keep shining and live your life, conquer your dreams and be successful at whatever you take up.
