That day i was hurt by your words PTM was there in our school My father came to meet you as you were my class teacher You saw him first time that day Next day before class you came close to me You asked me 'that mulla is your father??' The most humiliating thing i have heard in my life that too for my father I always heard good things about him and he is my ideal You didn't stop just at that You told me to become 'mullani' like him As you said 'why are you studying here, go become mullani like him You never tried to know that he did masters in arabic He is alumni of India's best arabic school As according to you arabic has no value And today i want you to know that The same person made me who i am today And yeah i want to thank you For that conversation which constantly Reminded me what should i do to prove you Just this that education in every field is equal And it gives you the freedom to choose Like my father did everything for me according to my choice. We love our teachers and are indeed thankful to them for teaching us lessons one way or the other. Many a times, we wished we could convey something to them but avoided. May be due to shyness, humbleness, respect or fear. Here's an opportunity. Collab on this post and share what you couldn't say. Eg. Dear teacher, One thing I could never say is that I was never lazy or stupid. I was just disinterested in your subject or the way it was taught.
