10 Things 2020 taught me

(Full Post in the caption) Mom has always told me that jo cheez tum saal ke first day karte ho, voh poore saal karte ho. So I hugged her, which I think was a great start and fir main likhne baith gaya.

2020 has been a tough year, and the struggles in 2020 have taught me way more than I expected it to teach me, thought I'd document, share. I hope you find them helpful:

1. Be comfortable with variance in life, in terms of how much money you make, how you think about people, how people think about you. Extreme highs or lows are both not really here to stay, the most important skill is to be exactly the same person in every variance life throws at you.

2. Rejections are not people not rejecting you, it is you not fitting in their context. Holds true for personal, professional, romantic relationships. Don't get disheartened if you got rejected at any point, understand why you didn't fit in their context, their story. Getting offended, feeling bad is the easy part, still being empathetic and growing from it is the tough one, always pick the latter.
