Although I knew it was wrong to read another's diary, curiosity got the better of me and I opened it.

Full story in caption Although I knew it was wrong to read another's diary, curiosity got the better of me and I opened it. I was in for a shock. The very first page was addressed to me by name with the endearment 'Dear Asha', followed by ' This is for you, as I couldn't find the courage to tell you everything in person. Please read on till the end before you know my identity. Let this be like a letter from one stranger to another.'

Day 1 It was your first day in office.
You were wearing a red saree. You looked lost and out of place like a lonely puppy. My heart went out to you. I immediately sent my close friend Latha to take care of you. That's how you became a part of her gang on the very first day.

Day 2 You were wearing a blue salwar and a white kurta. What a beautiful sight. My favourite color too. I got attracted to you and asked Latha to introduce me to you casually as if my being there in the canteen was coincidental and not intentional. Your sweet voice and soft spoken nature with a mix of shyness was endearing. I wanted to get to know more of you.

Day 3 to day 30 We would just exchange smiles..a hi and a bye just like colleagues do. But, day by day I became more interested in you. Yesterday, when you didn't come to office, I felt empty. As if a part of me was missing. The office I have been working in for more than a year suddenly seemed dull. All I could think about the whole day was you. That reinstated what you meant to me. That's when I decided I would have to let you know my feelings without creating a scene in the office. I wrote my heart out in the form of a diary and somehow managed to drop it into your bag today evening.
