The little prince hangs his head; His shoulders, drooping; A glistening tear drips down his cheek. For, he needs to abandon his fox-- The one he tamed, so affectionately. Though, they both knew That it'd boil down To this horrendous parting; It didn't lessen the gruesome ache. Because, when pure love Has been allowed to flourish; Then, tears would be a surefire gift During its lamentable ending. "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery “You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed," says the fox to the prince in the book entitled, "The Little Prince". This short novella is one of my all-time favorites. It's a moral allegory that speaks of a little prince, his rose, his little planet, and all the various creatures he meets along the way. #TheLittlePrince #BookLoversDay #diwa #yqbaba
