•This phrase is from हितोपदेश
Translation-
Animals do not coronate a lion through sprinkling holy water on him and conducting certain rituals (). He assumes kingship (effortlessly) through his own prowess.
Swayam(44) stands for self. Mruga/Mriga (T) stands for deer. However, in this context, it stands for all the animals of the forest. Indra although the namesake suggests the king/leader of all Hindu Gods, it can also refer to the king or the master in general. So, as perceived, in the context of the forest, a Mrugendra stands for the king of all animals
of the forest i.e. the lion.

This shloka explains us that titles doesn't matter for people with great abilities and qualities. Great people do their work and find their true places in life without any titles and appreciations.
