Arti, who hails from Dehradun, took it upon herself to encourage the differently-abled people of the district to take part in the elections. From arranging vehicles - 'Divyang Raths' - in all the assembly consituencies in the district, to arranging 874 wheel chairs, she worked tirelessly to ensure the election process was accessible in the truest sense. And her effort paid off. A record 17,000 differently-abled voters came to their respective booths to cast their vote!
