Like saying boundary when a cricketer gets 4 runs by hitting the ball beyond that rope line around the cricket ground. It also means a wall around a building or farm for safety. Then I heard one more don't go out of your boundaries which means don't cross your limits. But nowadays I hear it a lot. Define your boundaries. Not a wall or something made of wires but something that keeps people at some distance, something where even close people can also be restricted. Or something that let other people know to stop whether it is personal space or professional. A line after which no one can force you. A line which makes you feel safe and keeps you sane. A point beyond which only you are there and you decide if to let someone in or not. But the boundary is not something where you decide but the boundary is a decision you make. As you grow you start making them more often for your well being and as long as they are not walls you will be well. Sometimes even you need to define boundaries for yourself. That you remember not just your limitations but how much you should push yourself. They remind you that being responsible is not limited to your duties but is a necessity for yourself too. PS: You can redefine your boundaries whenever you need to. #boundary #safespace #limits #limitations #selfawareness #selfcare #wotd #grishmathoughts
