Phase of intense uncertainty Tug of war between id, super-ego A phase between, "You are not grown enough to take such a decision." and "You are grown enough to take care of yourself." A complete confusing state. Desire to be a kid again, accepted only as an adult the next day. 'Id' is compared to that childish, demanding portion of a teenager's character while 'super-ego' is compared to the moral preacher, makes you one what the society wants out of you. 'Ego' be the stabilising area, confused one between all just like teenage period. These three phases- Id, Ego, Super- ego is described by Sigmund Freud in his structural theory of psyche as three stages of human mind which I tried to compare here with adolesence characters.
