real freedom is the ability to be oneself; while being in harmony with the world. absolute independence can only be achieved, when we are able to transcend our own preconceived notions, prejudices, and assumptions; in order to realize that we are all, indeed, the same. while we put importance on being allowed, to live the way we want; we also need to accept how others live theirs-- that also includes fighting for the bullied, the underdog, the outcast, and the abused. when everyone is allowed to live, according to their own belief systems-- without ridicule, alienation, and condemnation; then humanity will achieve the true essence of being free; because, independence is not only for the privileged few--it is for all. #independence #freedom #free #fairness #equality #respect #yqbaba #diwa
