To the people who feel like home,

I'm grateful for your walls that though, were not always strong, though had cracks, though, had water seeping in through the corners, still held me firmly. You closed my rattling windows in the rain even when you had your water logged pipes. You have been the sunsets I always wished to store in my eyes but which I lost, while capturing their pictures. Gardening was never my thing and you knew it and you also knew just how much I wished it was and so, you gave me your shovel and humus while weeds grew in your gardens.

After whitewashing, houses are to be left to grow strong in order to be ready for the painting. Time, gives strength, you had said. But you didn't tell me, time takes something in return too. — % & #letters
