The party was too boring. Too much noise; loud music and drunken brawls. I was getting a headache. I stepped out into the fresh air outside.

Full story in caption The party was too boring. Too much noise; loud music and drunken brawls. I was getting a headache. I stepped out into the fresh air outside. There was a good breeze and I seated myself on the cute bench overlooking the lawn. I heard some humming sound close by. I turned to find it was Vedant, a friend of my friend. A good looking guy with a cute smile. I generally see him around in parties organised by my friend though we haven't gone beyond a smile, a hi and a bye. He saw me sitting alone on the bench and asked 'May I' politely. I nodded a yes. He sat down beside and we started talking about our hobbies and interests. It surprised us that we had quite a few common ones. After a while we exchanged numbers and went our ways. Neither of us used the numbers given each other. The next I saw him was in a trek to the Himalayas organised by a adventure club. We both were in the same batch among a group of 30. This week long trek in the wilderness facing hardships and risks together sans any pretence, being our natural self, developed feelings between us. At the end of the trek we were definitely in love. To this day we trek together even after a decade of married life.
