A LOOK AT LIFE-81 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY A JOURNEY INSIDE For a few Life is not a race Not running in a haste For an image Life is a journey Sitting with an erect spine Closing ears and eyes Organs of senses Calming the body, mind One moves along the spine Raising his consciousness From mundane to the sacred From poison to the elixir Feeling the subtle vibrations Deep inside For a few Life is listening to the beats Emanating from the heart Feeling the rush of blood in the arteries and veins Sensing Prana Vayu in cells and membranes Listening to the music of life The divine OM coming out Rhyming with the vibrations inside For a few Life is listening to the breath The air coming in and going out Watching the process as an outsider Without being involved. For a few Life is meditating on the Chakras In the spine to unlock the lock between the brows On the pineal gland The Agyan Chakra Expanding the consciousness To become the whole of the universe And contracting oneself The cosmic universe into a dot. Life is an endeavour To know the source A journey to know The mystery To realise There is no other source No other mystery One oneself is the mystery And the source of all sources as well.
