.
When I opened my bag, I found someone's diary in it. I look around for the owner but cannot see anyone nearby. I am intrigued as I turn the diary over in my hand.It is a pretty looking diary,a new one, with unicorns, castles and fairly princesses printed on the cover. It has a lock too, I feel a tad disappointed for I do not have the key to open it. I normally do ascribe to the rule of never going through other people's things, but I find myself pulled over to the dark side for once, since no one was there to claim the diary as their own. Should I just break open the lock? As I am mulling over this, my attention is drawn to a mysterious looking symbol etched on the front cover. It is something between a cross and two half stars. It glints in the light of the street lamps on a full moon night. It seems familiar to me, like a far gone memory. I am sitting on the bench a bit perplexed, when the street lamp bends all over into the form of a cross and the moon splits into two half stars. My jaw drops at this improbable scene. A shadow, as pale as a moon ray steps out from the surreal image. " This is mine, I believe", it says, as it takes the diary away from my shaking hands. "Do you remember me? Or has this world gotten the better of you? Come, there is alot to be done. Don't run away next time. Now take off this awful disguise, be yourself".

Here's a #collab prompt for #YoStoWriMo Day 6. What if you find a stranger's diary in your bag? How would you return it? What would be written in it? Complete this story. #thediary #YourQuoteAndMine
