I am all alone at home, wondering about my Grandma

I am all alone at home, wondering about my Grandma and the times spent with her. I stare into a blank space. Gaze towards the window. Recalling memories.

5.30am sharp I used to wake up to her chanting of Hanuman Chalisa. Windows now wide open and while rubbing my eyes I see Grandma watering the Tulsi plant. She taught me morning prayers and to be thankful to God for a new day.
After school, I came running back into her embrace and got showered with motherly kisses.
Being the only child with no siblings and no friends around, my Grandma played the role of a very loving sister and a friend I looked upto.
There were days when she missed her family and would cry. She would say, "one day you'll be married and leave me too." To that I said very firmly, "I'm never gonna leave you alone, I'll take you wherever I go. " Hearing this, she would burst into laughter and smiled with joy. She would just say, "I love so much my dear, you mean the world to me. "
At nights, I would rest my face on her lap.
She would gently brush my hair, and sing sweet lullabys, folk songs or tell me stories from mythology to fairy tales, from events of papa's childhood to stories of her dreams.( I still remember those in bits and pieces! ). (Sukoon ki nind aati thi ).
Numerous events and stories pictured in my head, as if my brain time travelled.
