The wind howled through the abandoned town, carrying with it a chill that seeped into the bones of anyone foolish enough to wander its streets. It was said that the town was cursed, that something dark and malevolent lingered there, waiting for unsuspecting victims to stumble into its grasp

.But of course, no one believed in curses and ghosts and all the other stories that circulated about the town. So when a group of friends decided to explore the abandoned buildings, they laughed off the warnings and set out with nothing but flashlights and their bravado.

The first building they entered was an old hospital, its walls peeling and its floors creaking underfoot. The air was thick with dust and the musty scent of decay, and the only sounds were the distant scurrying of rats and the occasional rustle of something moving in the shadows.

But as they ventured deeper into the hospital, the air grew colder and the silence grew more oppressive. They could hear their own heartbeats pounding in their ears, and the hairs on the backs of their necks stood on end.

Then, from somewhere deep within the hospital, they heard a sound that froze them in their tracks. It was a low, guttural growl, the kind of sound that a wild animal might make. But there were no animals in the hospital, they were sure of it.

They tried to turn and run, but it was as if something had rooted them to the spot. And then, slowly, they began to hear footsteps coming towards them. Heavy footsteps, like those of a large man.

The footsteps grew closer and closer, until they could hear the breathing of whatever was approaching them. And then, with a sudden burst of movement, something lunged out of the shadows and grabbed one of the friends.

They screamed and struggled, but it was no use. The thing was too strong, and it dragged the friend away into the darkness.

The remaining friends stumbled out of the hospital, their hearts pounding with fear. They knew now that the stories were true, and that something truly evil lurked in the abandoned town. They ran as fast as they could, but they could hear the thing following them, its heavy footsteps pounding against the pavement.

They never spoke of what happened that night, but they all knew that the curse of the town was real, and that they had narrowly escaped with their lives. And they never went back there again, for fear of what might be waiting for them in the shadows
