"In this seplchure by the sounding sea..." Edgar

"In this seplchure by the sounding sea..."
Edgar Allan Poe's Annabelle Lee was her favorite poem.
And she always liked to hear,
This poem in his bass voice.
Every anniversary night,
There was a ritual,
They both dined together,
Her favorite smoked salmon, mashed peas and apple pie for dessert.
Then, they sat drinking wine in the cigar room.
And head towards the massive library,
Where he would recite a sonnet or play a piece on the piano.
And then they would dance and kiss each other.
She was so much in love with him.
Wonder why then, that night,
That fateful night,
He killed her
He ordered the best chardonnay from the cellar,
He raised his glass, she raised hers
"To us, my love may we love always",
He brought his glass to her lips, she brought hers to his,
And she took one sip of the poisoned wine,
She collapsed.
The cynide tasted like his love,
Bittersweet, but rich in flavor.
And as she lay there, he took another glass of wine,
Watched her die.
Ever since, every anniversary night,
She spends with him.
In his bed, looking at his face,
And as he lies there paralysed, she whispers to him,
"With only a dream to love,
And to be loved by me"...
