There's a darkness inside all,
too mystifying to be named,
with a recurring sense of confusion in it,
sings of chaos that
reigns over the soul.
None knows of the emptiness,
wrapped in the curtain of a smile.
All that is felt is a void that cries,
and says, it's all purposeless,
our existence, our being here,
everything feels too mechanical,
like we're trapped
in this web of affinities
in this world,
that we can never escape.
We can imagine of the freedom,
but we can never go out
and go there.
There's nowhere to go from here.
We're trapped in our minds,
trapped in our bodies.
We're trapped in this illusion.
Our lives are like this
long, painful, pointless hike.
It's like climbing the height,
like Himalayan or Everest.
People climb it to make this awful journey
all blustered, frostbitten and exhausted.
Tears, frozen into one big icicle
on their faces.
There's nothing waiting for them
at the top except for the sense
of accomplishment.
Our lives are the same.
We face the end and all we get
to say is that we lived.
The end of journey is death.
You're done except you're dead.
