Thanks and gratitude to The Haven International for this wonderful platform and sir Hari Prasad S. for his fabulous critical appreciation of my poem ''A LOOK" Good afternoon HaVenians!! Here we go with a new initiative to uplift literature and promote poetry and poets!!! Today's choice is an amazing poem "A LOOK" by esteemed poet Smruti Ranjan Mohanty. ----------+++--------- I know I am wrong. Let me accept and repent with a vow not to repeat the same, confess it with all humility before it becomes part of me, a seed with an urge to germinate ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty ----------+++--------- Concise contemplating creation from a conscious intellectual. !!! Mistakes are a part of growing up. To accept it is a way of acknowledging the fact that it's part of learning. But if one does not acknowledge it, then, one can never grow and progress. The reason for that is, mentally, we let our inner self to become inert. On doing so we strengthen the ego which would make adamant decisions and become a regressive tool. An attitude builds up in such personalities that would let them hold on to this regressive self, thus, making them feel disgust over everything that happens to them. As the poet says guilt can grow its roots inside mind and if not acknowledged they can become big trees sucking away all the charm of life's many beautiful aspects such as love, compassion, friendship, relationships. This poem is short yet profound. It in it's short form carries a large punch of knowledge. I loved it and felt it deserved promotion through a small review.
