I was dumbfounded and froze. Trying not to show my fear I tried to keep on talking but words failed to come out and my knees were knocking and sweat drenched my shirt. They noticed my condition and the one without the shadow asked me if I had seen a ghost and they both laughed uproariously. Before I could react the one with the shadow told me that the other one was his alter ego and as such won't have a shadow. My friend I noticed had already fainted and the passerby asked me why my alter ego had become a shadow.
