"Exams" Albert Einstein once said, "Everybody is genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." This beautiful quote in itself summarizes that the current examination system is totally rubbish. What do we check from these exams, I believe only learning skills which is not even 1% of education. Technically advanced & mentally a lot higher than the past generation our students are forced to rote their answers & score high marks without creating anything new from their own minds just because of the age old system of our examination. I ask where we are heading to, "to the past or to the future". If your answer is future then why we are stuck with the examination system of our forefathers. We have advanced from landlines to smart phones, from being called the country of snake-charmers to the country of ISRO, but exams still have the same face & have the same method. It's high time we need to develop as many skills as we can & not only the rote learning skills.
