//Still staring I obscure myself, After stealing

//Still staring

I obscure myself,
After stealing a glimpse.

The souvenirs of autumn nights, gluing the eyelids tightly, takes me back to the well-known epoch, that I ran away from. Crocuses swapping fragrance, through the alleyways of trees, escorts me mechanically. Now I'm here, capturing the blunders in the hindsight.

Fastened to the pillar that is situated in the heart of the park, you are. Admiring you, I scratch out my nalis, that were painted black. Getting lost in your world, I trudge around; then wake up with the eccentric gust. Evenings went like this. Nights too went like this, with you present only in my dreams.
Clouds too rest for sometime on the top of the tallest tree that witnessed my guilt; to relish our shy treks. Your white headphones that flirts with your red spectacles, tugs me often; so I stand there still for a moment. The leaves keep dripping down, in the same pace. The water drop too drips, then my heart beat becomes faster with butterflies fluttering inside my tummy for the first time. This became my routine; waking and staring. I keep staring, even when you are invisible. I smile to myself. I obscure myself after stealing a glimpse.

Now, all I remember is the savour of these moribund memories. Whenever it rains I soothe myself telling that you too stared at me. The aroma of petrichor dragging me back to the beauteous aeons, filled with innocence. But still, I didn't wish to own you. All I wished for was a glimpse of you to fill my nights, and I purloined that. My bare soul knows how much longing you had for me, after I walked away from there.
