30/218 about Pawandeep and Champawat city Yesterday I wrote a little quote about my hometown, Champawat, which was loved by some of you guys. Today, just a few minutes ago I was going through the status updates of various people on my WhatsApp. There I saw one of the friends had posted this photo of himself with Pawandeep Rajan having dinner in the CM office. Not just him, there were 3 or 4 good friends of him right there who were also present in Mumbai in the Indian Idol grand finale. I liked those people there for a few reasons. Also, I loved how Champawat was represented by the master singer himself. I have known Pawandeep for seventeen years. Yes, he was my senior at school when I was at 2nd standard. I believe most of his friends that you seen on television have been there for over a decade. And now he takes them casually to the CM office! Damn, it's amazing and inspiring for me. About the little I know about the family, us siblings used to go to his father for English tuitions many years ago. He was a private teacher in UGPS back then. Pawan had already made waves about his singing talent and he had clearly declared he was going to be a singer. And he did become a greatly admired singer. I'm so proud of him. I still don't know much about the family but I can surely say that the guy comes from humble beginnings but the clarity about his purpose was always crystal clear. His father used to take him to various programmes from ramleelas to any number of functions that happened in and outside the town. Then came The Voice India 2015.
