I sent her a quote from Insta. She liked it. I told her I'm glad she liked it. She sent a smile back. But, it had a tear in the middle. Figured it must be a typo; asked her so. She said it wasn't. Now, I want to ask her so much. Why, does he not tell her that as much as I do? Why, does she miss my presence in her life as much as I do hers? Why, is it too late to still hope for hoping it could still happen? Why do such questions still linger about up in my head? Why does every bit of peace I've managed to conjure up in there and down there in the middle just break to pieces on every single response from her? Why, despite knowing what's going to be, do I hope for things to change for the better? Why do I hope at all? I may never know. The answers may evade me forever.
