~A Distressing Voyage~ Visit my heart and you will find A castle of glass standing tall Around which the rib cage coils Averting it from another befall. Then you slide down my lungs Hanging through every branch And never mind if it reeks of fear For, it's but a sad tune ranch. And then glide through my veins Where you might find some lumps Formed by umpteen cuts and slits And if you wish you can jump! Jump onto my skin now, blanched of the terror of another loss And make sure you're gutsy enough To descry a sight of gory crisscross. You might wonder why I'm like this Sceptic, sombre, self-destructive It's that melancholy holds me hostage It, my captor and I being the captive.
