Not going much back in history of this fake news as it would trace its existence since ancient period as it was prevalent but in modern time it's root are getting stronger and stronger day by day. There are many reasons for the fake news as in modern times it was first used to demean another person or institution for the monetary purposes are for political purposes. According to a report of UNESCO's world trends the root of fake news is mainly loss of faith of people in the traditional media, and other reason for this is the low level of critical thinking and news literacy, which is not now clearly visible in the Indian traditional media. Reporters are wiped out from the news screen and anchors have taken over them and they have nothing to do with news instead they do a debate program of no use and the result of the debates are actually nothing but it's for mere TRP only. So, this have created a state in the mind of the people to move from the traditional media to social media.
